As I continue to assemble a cast for a 5150: Working Grave game, I finished painting and rebasing a batch of science fiction figures.

First is a pair of Heroclix figures I rebased and touched up the paint on the figure on the left. I repainted the trousers and shoes, but left the rest of the miniature as is. I picked up a big batch of Heroclix figures at a very cheap price. I’m finding they add some interesting poses for civilians.

I finally got around the rebasing the last of the Reaper Overloard figures I use for Hishen. I really don’t like rebasing figures that stand on only one leg. I know they are supposed to be a more dynamic pose, but they are hard to rebase. If I were a better modeler, I’d find a way to add a pin to make basing these figures easier and more stable.

The large Zuhh-Zuhh suffering from metal madness is the Reaper Bones Ape-X Super Villain. I got this fellow in the Reaper Bones Kickstarter 2. It was the only Bones Kickstarter I’ve ever participated in. Why? Well, I’ve only painted a few of the miniatures & have at least one hundred Bones figures gathering dust sitting in the painting queue.

I painted these gray aliens a few years ago for a Mission St. Mary game. I’ve finally gotten around to rebasing them. Six of the grays are from two Reaper Chronoscope Aliens 1 packs. The female gray is from the Reaper Chronoscope Alien Strippers pack.
For a different style of gray aliens, I have the ones from Zombiesmith’s Aliens Passing Through range. These seem to have an attitude.

I chose a Star Trek-like painting scheme in that the Gray’s space suits are color coordinated as to which department they are assigned. I’m working on stats for them and if there was a “smart-ass” attribute, these guys would have it.

The Count
In addition to painting and rebasing miniatures, I also assembled thirty pieces of card terrain. So here’s the account thus far:
- 8 28mm Fantasy Figures
- 60 6mm Ancient Greek Figures
- 10 10mm Seven Years War Figures
- 10 28mm Old West Figures
- 13 28mm Science Fiction Figures
- 41 Pieces of Terrain
- Rebased 9 Science Fiction Figures
That’s a total of 101 figures for the year.

If they had hair, they could be a K-Pop Boys Band!
Painting the gray aliens was fun and I really like the Zombiesmith aliens range.

In a rather succinct manner, Valenia lets Dr. Zirkov know what she thinks of his Quantum propulsion theories with a single finger.
The truth WAS out there after all!
Great work. I’m really taken with the uplifted gorilla for some reason.
Cheers,
Pete.
