I only worked two hours on the project today. Bringing the total time spent to 35.5 hours. However, I feel like I got a lot done for this unit.
The shields received the by now customary Reaper Dark Elf Shadow, a purple so dark that it is almost black. The bases were painted Reaper Earth Brown. All of the metal bits received a dry brush of Vallejo Oily Steel. I’ve used the exact same process for the previous two units.
Since the unifying color of this unit is to be a golden yellow, I laid down a light brown layer, Vallejo Brown Sand, on all the areas that are to be yellow.
Tomorrow, I’ll tackle the difficulty of painting a nice smooth yellow as well as doing the Dark Elf skin.
