Viking Warband

This week I continued to work on my 1015 project and was able to paint 30 Vikings to a tabletop standard – in other words, they look great from 3 feet away. The figures are from Wargames Foundry and have been in the paint queue for way too long.

I’ll be using the Captains and Kings rules from Two Hour Wargames for my campaign. I like its campaign system better than Great Hall Burning, and I use the fantasy version Warrior Heroes Warbands for my mass Fantasy battles, so that means I know Captains and Kings better than Great Hall Burning.

Summary

This warband of 30 brings the total number of miniatures painted this year to 376.

  1. The mail on the leader figure up front came out very well! I also like the leather color of the tunic he is wearing under the mail. A good choice since the part below the mail hangs stiffly, as leather would. I tend to forget to look for things like the drape of the cloth.
