This 72-year-old woman will be experiencing a first this Saturday, 14 June. I’ll be attending a No Kings protest in the city where I live. I’ve never been in a protest before, but I can no longer put my head down and hope what is happening to democracy will pass. “We the people” have a right to protest and call for a halt of the injustice, cruelty, and overreach of the Trump administration. We are a nation of laws, and no one is above the law. We have no kings.
