Last Painted Figures of the Year

I came nowhere near my goal, it was very ambitious, in painting figures for the year. The reason for that is simple, I still think I can do everything I could when I was thirty. However, a body that has finished seven decades of life and then some, tends to laugh at what I think I can still do.

Vikings

I continue to push forward on my project to game the 1015 conquest of England by Canute the Great.

Stargrave Crew

With these figures, five female and one male, I have completed the Stargrave Crew II box and half of the Stargrave Crew box from North Star Military Figures.

Summary

While my insane goal was to paint 1,200 miniatures and pieces of terrain this year, the actual count was 394. I could have painted more, but at my age I’ve fallen in love with afternoon naps.

  • 24 – 28mm Science Fiction figures
  • 17 – 28mm Modern Horror figures
  • 8 – 28mm Interwar Pulp figures
  • 9 – 28mm Old West figures

  • 84 – 10mm Seven Years War figures
  • 108 – 28mm Medieval figures
  • 53 -28mm Amazon figures

So, I hope all is well with you and wish all of you a happy New Year!

Responses

  1. An impressive amount of work there.

    Happy New Year.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

  2. still way more than what I managed. I didn’t keep track but it was more like 50. Still, I’ve been teaching my little girls to paint when they’ve expressed interest, so that’s been great. Happy new year – I wish I could get an afternoon nap!

  3. That’s significantly better than the 237 28 mm figures I painted last year! The Viking ladies are distressed about spilled milk on Foundry’s website, but they convey suitable shock and distress over the death of the monk in your photo.
