Showcase Saturday, 14 October

In this post, I reveal what I’ve been up to during the week.

Shield-maiden

I’m proud of this shield-maiden from Wargames Foundry, because I got the eyes right on the first try.

Amazons

I think I’ll not only be painting Amazons until the day I die but will be painting them well into the afterlife. Why did I buy so many of them? Anyway, the mounted Amazon is from Casting Room Miniatures and the Amazon on foot is from Eureka.

Rena Black Anvil & the “Pinks”

These figures were painted years ago, but I rebased them this week. I am slowly rebasing all of my figures from square bases to round ones as I no longer play games where square bases are required. This is one of my favorite units. They are from Reaper Miniatures and saw a lot of action in Reaper Warlord tournaments where I played an all-female dwarven army. I never won many games, but I won best painted army a few occasions (losing only once to an army painted by my friend & super artist, Lin Stahl).

So, why did I do a miniature showcase this week? Well, mainly to let you know I’m still alive and working to get more minis painted for my campaigns. Which is good for me because it keeps me motivated to paint, but it may be bad for you, since I’m not a display level painter.

As always, your likes, comments, and suggestions are always appreciated. Until the next post, keep playing games and don’t vote Republican while I contemplate whether painting miniatures in the afterlife is a reward or punishment.

Response

  1. Always enjoy your painted miniatures and story-telling, a few chuckles is always welcomed!
