Warning! Not Safe for Work (NSFW) – Why? If you’ve seen Blue Eye Samurai (trailer 1), you’ll understand when I say “peaches!”
I know, I’m behind schedule. I have excuses! I was a little under the weather for a few days, I spent too much time trying to get the right shade of green on a motorcycle, and I binge watched Blue Eye Samurai – twice. Pretty lame excuses, if you ask me, but they’re mine.
Biker Babes
As part of a small commission, I had to paint a pair of biker babes on a futuristic motorcycle. I was going for the green motorcycle Sua is sitting on in Dreamcatcher’s OOTD video. I discovered I know nothing about painting motorcycles.

Pulp Adventurers
The last of the commission are pulp adventurers from Askari Miniatures.

Goliath Ganger
Finished another ganger from Necromunda’s House Goliath.

Stargrave Crew
Another female crew member from the Stargrave Crew 2 set.

Vikings
More Vikings from Wargames Foundry.

Anglo Saxons
I did manage to paint one late Anglo Saxon.

Peaches … er, Amazons
If you have seen at least the first episode of Blue Eye Samurai (trailer 2), then you know the word “peaches” makes me chuckle. Anyway, here are more amazing Amazons.

Summary
This batch consisted of 34 figures bringing my 2024 total to 63 figures total. Here’s the break down:
- 12 – 28mm Science Fiction Figures
- 8 – 28mm Interwar Pulp Figures
- 18 – 28mm Medieval Figures
- 18 – 28mm Amazon Figures
- 7 – 28mm Fantasy Figures
As much as I would like to binge watch Blue Eye Samurai (trailer 3) a third time, I need to catch up on figure painting. Having watched the series, now I’m struggling to keep from starting an Edo era Samurai project. I already have too many hobby projects.
Your comments are greatly appreciated. You don’t know how encouraging they are to me.
Until next time, remember friends don’t let friends vote Republican.

1) As usual, I find myself admiring how well you paint lips. I use a Micron 005 pen and barely achieve mediocrity on my better days. 2) Ganger knife. I once read that French WWI sappers used a bayonet with a knife blade on one side and a saw blade on the other–sort of Swiss army knife like. The Germans, thinking about how unpleasant it would be to be stabbed with such a weapon, sometimes executed men found carrying these knives. This German attitude of fear and hatred of such weapons might apply to the people who have to deal with your gangers. 3) Who makes the tufts with the white flowers on the bases of some of your Amazons? I’m painting Hera, and lilies were her flower.
Hi David, the lips are painted with the tip of a size 0 sable brush using either Vallejo’s Rose Brown or Reaper’s Old West Rose for natural lips. The secret is to paint only the bottom lip allowing the brush to just barely graze the top lip. The flowers were some generic brand I ordered off of Amazon because I was in a hurry at the time. If I could to do it over, I’d order the Gamers Grass Wildflowers pack Annie sells at Bad Squiddo Games.
Love how fast you paint. Also need to watch that series but dammit i insist, i need like a deserted island or something to catch up on all my stuff backlog! 😛
What’s the bike from? I assume it’s 3D printed but from who?
The bike & riders are from Patrick Miniatures, listed as “Sexy Bikers”. The company is in Germany & from what I understand, he ships very quickly. It was a part of a small commission, and the client has purchased several of these in both 28mm & 30mm. The 28mm are true 28mm while the 30mm are the size of current figures from companies like Reaper, GW, North Star, and others.
