Believe it or not, this post has a Not Safe For Work (NSFW) rating since a stone statue as well as its worshippers are topless. So, if you are a Christian Nationalist or a Republican, pretend to look away.
I think I first saw an idol like this in photos of a museum exhibition. In movies, it is similar to the idol in The 13th Warrior. This particular piece of scatter terrain is from Reaper Miniatures’ Bones Black range. It painted up quickly, mostly with dry brushing.
The idol is suitable for fantasy, colonial expansion era, and pulp adventure games, from Conan to Indianna Jones.

Summary
Though it is a large piece, it still only counts as a single miniature bringing my total to 288 models painted to date.

- 17 – 28mm Modern Horror figures
- 8 – 28mm Interwar Pulp figures
- 9 – 28mm Old West figures

- 84 – 10mm Seven Years War figures
- 49 – 28mm Medieval figures

The Venus of Willendorf; love her, and she makes an excellent center piece for a pulp or colonial game.
LOL – Christian Nationalist or Republican, LOL. I’ve just come to calling them the party of weirdos as I’m not certain the GOP of my youth still exist or ever will again.
Love the status, it certainly fits well within your game genres!
I’d seen photos of the Venus of Willendorf when reading about “cavemen.” I saw Reaper’s figure Saturday for the first time, and thought it was so-o-o-o great! I just couldn’t figure out what I’d do with it. This gives me some more ideas, maybe even enough to justify buying it! I do have a 10-15 mm Venus I found at a bead booth at a science fiction convention for use with my cavemen (and women). And to think, I used to bring books with photos like that to work to read during lunch and didn’t post a warning sign outside my cubicle
