Revenants

I realized that for some upcoming encounters I will need a horde or two of the undead. I chose revenants. Revenants are diferent from zombies in that they are not completely mindless, they have a purpose and some even remember parts of their life before death. Revenants appear in Scandinavian and Western European myths as opposed to the vampires of Eastern European myths. Also, they appear in the Conan and Red Sonja stories.

North Star’s Oathmark range has a set of 30 plastic revenants. I’ve completed the first five. It is also my first attempt at painting rusted metal complete with a patina. The figures tend to be closer to a true 28mm and seem a little short compared to other modern fantasy figures which are 30mm disguised as 28mm. However, they are the correct height of most historical miniatures. The height difference isn’t really noticeable until you place them next to the latest Games Workshop and D&D miniatures which are 32mm.

Anyway, they will do fine for my campaign. Let me know what you think, your comments are always appreciated.
